Meen elumicham pajam roast –fish roast


Fish mixed with special hand pounded herbs and masalas, marinated in lime juice and green coriander paste and then fried  crisp. Served with cucumber, tomato slices and carrot fingers .

Including marination  1 hr 40 min.
Ingredients
Fish slices 650g Pomfret.7 large pieces .  Add spices and lemon juice as per your taste preference.
Chili powder
1tablespoon Coriander powder
1/4tablespoon Turmeric powder table spoon
½ spoon Coriander, red chillies, cumin roasted and powdered.
1/4 Garlic paste table spoon 3/4 Ginger paste table spoon
 3/4 Crushed shallot
1 spoon Green coriander and mint paste
3/4 tablespoon Lemon juice
2tablespoons Salt
Coconut Oil
Method
1)  Clean and wash fish pieces.drain water and marinate the fish pieces with salt and lemon juice.keep aside for 10 minutes.
2)  In a bowl add chili powder ,turmeric powder, coriander, redchillies and cumin powder, ginger and garlic paste.
3)  Crushed shallot and salt apply the green paste .mix well and make a smooth paste add water if required. Marinate fish with this paste and set aside for one hour.
4)  Heat oil in a pan or tawa,shallow fry the fish pieces.turning over to cook both sides.
5)  Let it fry on low fire and become golden brown and crisp.
